Lufthansa will restart its Dubai services to Munich and Frankfurt on October 25, boosting the recovery of European air links to Dubai.

Dubai International Airport is set to regain up to 36 weekly flights to major European cities from October, giving passengers more options for business trips, holidays, family visits and onward travel.

The recovery will begin with the return of Lufthansa services between Dubai and the German cities of Munich and Frankfurt on October 25, according to Dubai Airports.

SWISS will follow with the resumption of Dubai-Zurich flights from October 27.

From November 1, Eurowings will restart services connecting Dubai with Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn.

Austrian Airlines will complete the European network recovery with the return of its Dubai-Vienna service from December 12.

Together, the restored services are expected to provide up to 36 flights a week between Dubai and the listed European destinations during the winter travel season.

Lufthansa to Resume Munich and Frankfurt Flights

Lufthansa will restart flights from Dubai to both Munich and Frankfurt on October 25.

The return will restore direct connections between Dubai and two of Germany’s major aviation hubs, giving passengers additional options for travel into Germany and onward connections across Europe.

Lufthansa currently lists Dubai among its destinations and continues to offer flight bookings to the emirate.

SWISS to Bring Back Zurich Service

SWISS will resume its Dubai-Zurich service from October 27.

Zurich is an important European business and financial centre, as well as a major connecting point for passengers travelling onwards across Switzerland and Europe.

The return of the route will add another option for passengers travelling between Dubai and Switzerland as the winter schedule gets underway.

Eurowings to Reconnect Dubai With Three German Cities

From November 1, Eurowings will resume flights from Dubai to Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn.

The three routes will expand the number of German destinations directly connected with Dubai, while also providing additional choices for travellers visiting Germany during the winter season.

The wider Lufthansa Group network is expected to operate up to 36 weekly Dubai flights across four airlines at peak periods.

Austrian Airlines to Resume Vienna Flights

Austrian Airlines is scheduled to bring back its Dubai-Vienna service on December 12.

Vienna provides another major European connection for Dubai passengers, with onward travel options across Austria and neighbouring European markets.

The service will be the final addition in the latest round of European routes returning to Dubai.

More European Connections for Winter Travel

The restoration of these services comes ahead of the winter travel season, when demand typically increases for leisure trips, business travel and family visits.

For Dubai, the additional flights also strengthen connectivity with major European aviation hubs.

Passengers will have more direct choices to cities including Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Berlin, Stuttgart, Cologne, Vienna and other destinations accessible through connecting networks.

The return of the routes also marks a broader recovery in Dubai’s European air connectivity after airlines adjusted their Middle East operations earlier in 2026.

With Lufthansa restarting services on October 25 and other airlines following through November and December, Dubai’s European flight network is set to expand significantly as the 2026-27 winter travel season begins.
