The UAE President and Canadian Prime Minister discussed investment opportunities, cooperation in artificial intelligence and advanced technology, and the latest developments in the Middle East during a phone call.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney discussed ways to strengthen economic ties, expand investment opportunities, and deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence during a phone call on Friday.

According to the UAE’s official statement, the two leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation and explored opportunities in sectors aligned with both countries’ development priorities, including advanced technology and AI.

Sheikh Mohamed and Carney reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening UAE-Canada relations through long-term, sustainable partnerships. They said closer cooperation could create new opportunities for economic and investment ties while supporting growth and prosperity in both countries.

Leaders Discuss Middle East Developments

The conversation also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest, with particular attention to developments in the Middle East.

Both leaders exchanged views on ongoing efforts to promote security, stability and peace across the region. They also highlighted the importance of supporting the interests and development of their people.

The call reflects the two countries’ continued interest in expanding cooperation beyond traditional economic ties, particularly in emerging technologies and investment sectors.
