Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new multiple-entry Umrah visa that allows pilgrims to enter the Kingdom several times within one year, making it easier for visitors to perform Umrah more than once without applying for a new visa each time.
The visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance and permits multiple entries into Saudi Arabia, subject to the Kingdom’s immigration and regulatory requirements.
The initiative forms part of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program, which aims to improve services for visitors, simplify travel procedures, and enhance the overall pilgrimage experience.
Greater Flexibility for Umrah Pilgrims
Under the new system, eligible pilgrims can make multiple trips during the visa’s one-year validity.
The visa allows a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days, giving visitors greater flexibility to plan their journeys throughout the year.
Saudi authorities said the new arrangement is intended to make Umrah travel more convenient while supporting the Kingdom’s growing digital services for pilgrims.
Nusuk Service Package Required
For every visit, visa holders must purchase a service package from an approved provider through the Nusuk platform.
The selected package cannot extend beyond the visa’s remaining validity period.
In addition, pilgrims must obtain an official Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before arriving in Saudi Arabia.
Visa Suspended During Hajj Season
The ministry clarified that the visa will automatically deactivate once a visitor leaves Saudi Arabia and will be reactivated before the next journey after all required conditions have been fulfilled.
However, the visa will not be valid during the annual Hajj season.
It will remain inactive from 1 Dhu Al Qadah until 13 Dhu Al Hijjah, the period reserved for Hajj pilgrims and related travel regulations.
