Maya Gupta documented her year-long challenge online before meeting YouTube creator MrBeast and reportedly receiving $10,000 for charity.
An Indian woman’s year-long mission to meet YouTube star MrBeast has ended with a face-to-face meeting and a reported $10,000 gift for her community initiatives.
Maya Gupta, from Surat, Gujarat, met the creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, on the 365th day of her challenge, according to reports. The reported reward is worth approximately ₹9.57 lakh.
Gupta began the challenge with a straightforward goal: to get MrBeast’s attention and meet him in person. She documented her progress on social media, counting down the days and inviting followers to join her journey.
How Maya Gupta Turned Her Challenge Into an Online Campaign
Gupta shared regular updates through her Instagram account, @mayaforbeast, as she worked towards meeting the popular YouTuber.
What began as a personal mission gradually attracted an online following. By Day 361, she was counting down the final four days, reflecting on how a challenge she had started alone had gained support from people online.
Her campaign also included efforts to help people in her local community. Gupta posted content about feeding those in need, giving the challenge a charitable purpose beyond meeting the internet personality.
In September, she said she had been contacted and asked to share her email address and WhatsApp details. The development raised hopes among her followers that the meeting might finally happen.
According to reports, the encounter took place on the final day of her challenge. MrBeast reportedly gave Gupta $10,000 to support her community work.
MrBeast Is Known for Large Giveaways and Philanthropy
MrBeast has built a global audience through videos featuring elaborate challenges, cash prizes and large-scale philanthropic projects.
His content frequently includes competitions and giveaways, alongside initiatives designed to help individuals and communities.
Gupta’s year-long campaign followed a different approach. Rather than participating in one of his established video challenges, she documented her own countdown and used social media to build an audience around her goal.
The reported $10,000 gift brings the 365-day effort to a close while providing financial support for the community initiatives she had shared online.
For Gupta, the challenge ended with the meeting she had pursued for a year and a reported contribution towards the work she hopes to continue.
