Travelers can now access a simplified booking journey that combines visa processing, flights, and hotels under Saudi Arabia’s new Package Visa pilot.

Kingdom launches pilot programme to make international travel faster and more convenient.

Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Package Visa pilot that allows eligible travellers to obtain a tourist visa as part of a single travel booking that combines flights, accommodation, and other tourism services.

The initiative, announced by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), is being introduced through approved travel and tourism providers in selected pilot markets. By integrating multiple travel services into one platform, the programme aims to simplify trip planning and make visiting the Kingdom more convenient for international tourists.

The latest move supports Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to strengthen its tourism sector and improve the visitor experience under Vision 2030.

One booking for visas, flights, and hotels

Under the new Package Visa pilot, eligible travellers can complete several stages of their travel arrangements through a single booking process.

The integrated package allows visitors to apply for an electronic tourist visa while simultaneously booking round-trip flights and accommodation at licensed hospitality facilities.

Travel providers can also include additional experiences such as cultural attractions, entertainment events, guided tours, and leisure activities, enabling visitors to organise an entire itinerary through one platform.

The streamlined process removes the need to arrange visas, flights, hotels, and activities separately, making travel planning more efficient.

Service available through approved travel providers

The Package Visa will be offered exclusively by authorised travel and tourism companies that meet the Kingdom’s operational and technical requirements.

Eligible providers must operate secure digital booking platforms, demonstrate strong technical capabilities, and offer round-the-clock customer support to assist travellers throughout their journey.

By working with approved partners, Saudi Arabia aims to ensure a reliable and consistent booking experience while maintaining service quality and security.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambitions

The Package Visa forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider effort to increase international tourism and diversify its economy through Vision 2030.

The programme was developed through cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Insurance Authority, reflecting a coordinated approach to modernising the country’s tourism ecosystem.

Since introducing its tourist e-Visa programme, Saudi Arabia has steadily expanded entry options for international visitors by adding services such as visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa.

According to government figures, these initiatives helped the Kingdom welcome more than 29 million inbound visitors during 2025.

Government aims to create a smoother visitor experience

Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the Package Visa represents another step towards making travel to the Kingdom simpler and more accessible.

He said the initiative supports travel and tourism partners while providing visitors with a more seamless way to plan and experience Saudi Arabia.

The government expects the simplified booking process to improve convenience, strengthen the country’s appeal as a global tourism destination, and encourage more international travellers to explore a wider range of attractions.

Travel companies expected to offer complete itineraries

The new system allows travel companies to create comprehensive holiday packages that combine transportation, accommodation, tourism experiences, and visa processing within a single reservation.

Officials believe this approach could encourage visitors to stay longer, explore more destinations, and increase tourism spending by reducing the complexity of travel planning.

The Package Visa pilot also reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued focus on expanding private-sector participation while making entry procedures more efficient for international visitors.

As the programme rolls out across selected markets, it is expected to support the Kingdom’s long-term objective of building a more connected, accessible, and globally competitive tourism industry.
