Passengers can book trains from Al Dhaid to Fujairah in 25 minutes, while services to Abu Dhabi take about 1 hour and 24 minutes.
Etihad Rail has opened passenger bookings from Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah, giving communities in the emirate’s central region direct rail connections to Fujairah and Abu Dhabi.
Tickets start at Dh19, with the fastest service connecting Al Dhaid to Fujairah in just 25 minutes. Services to Abu Dhabi take around one hour and 24 minutes.
The station is available for bookings from September 30, according to bookings seen by Khaleej Times.
Al Dhaid to Fujairah in 25 Minutes
Passengers travelling between Al Dhaid and Fujairah can choose from two services in each direction every day.
The listed timings are:
- Al Dhaid to Fujairah: 9.41 am to 10.06 am, Comfort from Dh19, Premium from Dh49
- Al Dhaid to Fujairah: 7.51 pm to 8.16 pm, Comfort from Dh24, Premium from Dh79
- Fujairah to Al Dhaid: 6.05 am to 6.30 am, Comfort from Dh19, Premium from Dh49
- Fujairah to Al Dhaid: 5.17 pm to 5.42 pm, Comfort from Dh19, Premium from Dh79
Direct Trains to Abu Dhabi
Etihad Rail is also offering two daily services in each direction between Al Dhaid and Abu Dhabi.
The journey takes approximately one hour and 24 minutes.
- Al Dhaid to Abu Dhabi: 6.32 am to 7.56 am, Comfort from Dh69, Premium from Dh149
- Al Dhaid to Abu Dhabi: 5.44 pm to 7.08 pm, Comfort from Dh59, Premium from Dh179
- Abu Dhabi to Al Dhaid: 8.15 am to 9.39 am, Comfort from Dh59, Premium from Dh179
- Abu Dhabi to Al Dhaid: 6.25 pm to 7.49 pm, Comfort from Dh69, Premium from Dh179
The booking platform currently shows no available trains between Al Dhaid and Dubai for September 30.
Where Is Al Dhaid Station?
The station is located in Muragabat, Sharjah, and is listed as operating from 5 am to 11 pm daily.
Etihad Rail says the station serves communities across Sharjah’s central region and provides access to destinations across the UAE.
Facilities include a prayer room, waiting area, toilets, a first aid room, ticket vending machines, information and support services, and dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas.
Passengers can also use Uber and Sharjah Taxi services to reach the station.
Bus Connections From Al Dhaid
An Etihad Rail bus stop is located around 50 metres from the station, providing connections to other parts of Sharjah.
Three bus routes currently serve the station:
- ER1: Al Madam Bus Station
- ER2: Al Sajaa Bus Station
- ER3: Jubail Bus Station
The station also offers car rental services and has 26 parking spaces, including 19 regular spaces and seven for electric vehicles.
Both half-day and full-day parking are currently listed at Dh0 on the booking platform, although passengers are advised to check availability when booking their train tickets.
Al Dhaid’s Location Adds to Its Appeal
Al Dhaid is an oasis town in central Sharjah known for its date palm plantations, agricultural land and camel racing.
Located against the Hajar Mountains, the town is also associated with traditional farming, irrigation channels, local markets, pottery and fresh produce.
With direct Etihad Rail services now available, Al Dhaid gains a new transport link to Fujairah and Abu Dhabi, expanding rail connectivity for residents and visitors in Sharjah’s central region.
