Dubai: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially married after exchanging vows in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11.
The Portuguese football star, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, confirmed their marriage on social media on Tuesday evening by sharing a photograph of their hands displaying matching gold wedding bands. Ronaldo captioned the post simply, “C❤️G”.
The ceremony was described as a private and intimate occasion attended by the couple’s five children.
From Engagement to Marriage
The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodríguez publicly announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. She shared a photograph of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, showing a large oval-shaped diamond engagement ring.
“Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,” Rodríguez wrote at the time, meaning, “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The couple had been together for several years before their marriage. Ronaldo first met Rodríguez in 2016, when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid. Their relationship later became public, with the couple making their red-carpet debut at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s Family
Ronaldo and Rodríguez are parents to five children. Their family includes twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, and Cristiano Jr., Ronaldo’s eldest son from a previous relationship.
The couple have frequently shared glimpses of their family life with their millions of followers on social media, while largely keeping major personal milestones private.
Their marriage marks another chapter in a relationship that has developed alongside Ronaldo’s continuing football career and Rodríguez’s work as a model, entrepreneur and public figure.
For one of the world’s most recognisable sporting couples, the wedding was notably low-key, with the announcement coming through a simple photograph and a short message rather than a large public celebration.
