Sharjah Police confirmed that multiple suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal assault, which took place on May 31. Authorities said investigations remain ongoing as officials work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the case.
Victim Identified as Dubai-Based Indian Expat
The deceased has been identified as Ismail Ponnan Ibrahim Kutty, a 40-year-old Indian national from Kerala who worked at a bakery in Dubai.
According to reports, Ismail was active on social media, particularly on TikTok, where he had built a following through regular content and live interactions.
Friends and followers claim that the events leading to his death began with a heated exchange on the platform involving other TikTok users.

According to individuals familiar with the incident, a verbal argument reportedly unfolded during a live TikTok session.
The disagreement allegedly intensified over time, with participants challenging one another and eventually agreeing to meet in person.
Reports indicate that Ismail allegedly invited the group to meet near a park in Sharjah’s Al Nahda area, where the confrontation later took place.
What began as an online dispute reportedly escalated into a violent physical altercation involving multiple individuals.
Fatal Attack in Broad Daylight
Witnesses said the incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning and was seen by numerous bystanders.
According to reports, Ismail was allegedly attacked by a group of individuals and sustained severe injuries during the confrontation.
People at the scene immediately alerted police and emergency services after witnessing the assault.
Paramedics rushed Ismail to Al Qassimi Hospital at approximately 8:00 a.m., but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward. He was pronounced dead at around 8:45 a.m.
According to the death notification, the cause of death was identified as injuries inflicted by a sharp object, resulting in severe hemorrhaging that led to hypovolemic shock.

Sharjah Police confirmed that several suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the case.
