The new job openings aim to create more career opportunities for Emiratis in Dubai’s growing real estate sector.
Dubai: The Dubai Land Department (DLD) is targeting more than 400 new employment opportunities for Emiratis in the emirate’s real estate sector, as part of efforts to expand national participation in the industry.
The announcement was made during the fourth edition of the department’s Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment, an initiative designed to connect UAE nationals with employers and career opportunities across the property sector.
The latest target comes in addition to more than 2,100 employment opportunities created for Emiratis through DLD initiatives between 2023 and 2026, in collaboration with government entities and strategic partners.
The event also offered jobseekers the opportunity to attend on-the-spot interviews with participating companies.
“DLD is playing a big role in supporting the real estate sector and putting all strategic partners together on the academic side and the business side and bringing the best opportunities to Emiratis,” Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department, told Khaleej Times.
More Than 80 Real Estate Companies Participate
More than 80 companies from across Dubai’s real estate sector participated in the latest edition of the employment event.
Held at Address Sky View on Thursday, the programme brought together university students, jobseekers, and employers. Participants had the opportunity to discuss job requirements, understand different career pathways, and learn about long-term professional development in the industry.
The department’s employment initiatives have been supported by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai.
Through these partnerships, DLD has worked to connect Emirati talent with opportunities across real estate companies and related businesses.
Dubai Real Estate Sector Records 52% Growth in Property Value
The employment push comes as Dubai’s property market continues to expand.
During the first half of 2026, the total value of real estate activity in the emirate reached Dh111 billion, representing a 52% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
Al Marri said the sector’s growth would support further expansion among property developers and real estate companies, creating additional opportunities for employment.
Dubai also completed 104 property projects during 2026, a 38.7% increase in the number of completed projects compared with 2025.
Real Estate Contributes 11.2% to Dubai’s GDP
Dubai’s real estate sector recorded year-on-year growth of 3.1% during the first quarter of 2026, generating approximately Dh26 billion in gross value added, according to figures previously reported by the Dubai Media Office.
The sector accounted for 11.2% of the emirate’s gross domestic product during the quarter, while Dubai’s overall GDP grew by 2.4%.
As the property market expands, the Dubai Land Department’s latest employment initiative aims to give Emirati jobseekers greater access to opportunities across the industry.
The target of more than 400 additional jobs builds on the 2,100 opportunities created between 2023 and 2026, reflecting the department’s continued focus on connecting national talent with Dubai’s growing real estate sector.
