The large-scale development aims to redefine urban living through sustainability, wellness, and integrated community design.
BILDCO and Wujod Real Estate Development have announced a strategic partnership to develop a major sustainable urban community in Abu Dhabi, with first-phase investments estimated at Dh2 billion.
The planned development will cover an initial area of 10 million square meters, equivalent to nearly 107 million square feet, introducing a low-density urban model focused on sustainability, wellness, and long-term quality of life.
According to the companies, the project will combine residential communities with wellness facilities, green spaces, innovation hubs, hospitality experiences, golf and equestrian destinations, and future-ready infrastructure designed to support modern lifestyles and economic growth.
Abu Dhabi Pushes Future-Ready Urban Development
The project aligns closely with Abu Dhabi’s broader goals around economic diversification, sustainability, tourism growth, and private-sector investment.
Rather than concentrating solely on residential expansion, the development aims to create an integrated living ecosystem that blends infrastructure, leisure, environmental planning, and wellness-focused design.
Shamsa Sulaiman Alfahim said the partnership reflects BILDCO’s long-term commitment to supporting sustainable growth within the UAE’s evolving real estate sector.
“We believe that true growth is tied to our ability to deliver products and services that help build more efficient and sustainable communities,” she said.
She added that the company plans to continue strengthening operational and production capabilities to meet growing demand for sustainability-focused developments across the UAE.
A Low-Density Vision for Modern Living
Unlike high-density urban projects common across many global cities, the planned Abu Dhabi development centers around a lower-density model intended to improve lifestyle quality, community connectivity, and environmental balance.
Officials said the project will integrate green landscapes, wellness-oriented design, and modern infrastructure into one connected urban framework.
Issa Ataya described the initiative as a transformational step for Abu Dhabi’s property sector.
“We do not simply build projects; we seek to shape the future of living,” Ataya said.
“Our vision has always been clear: to go beyond traditional development and create destinations that enhance human well-being, elevate lifestyles, and establish sustainable value for generations to come.”
He explained that the project aims to combine sustainability, hospitality, innovation, and wellness into a unified living environment instead of treating them as separate components.
Designed as a Long-Term Living Ecosystem
Ataya further described the development as a “living ecosystem” built to inspire residents while supporting long-term economic and social value.
According to the developers, the project intends to strengthen tourism activity, encourage wellness-focused industries, and support sustainable infrastructure growth across Abu Dhabi.
The companies also emphasized that the development is designed to create a long-term urban legacy rather than functioning as a standalone residential project.
By integrating lifestyle, environmental planning, and community-focused infrastructure, the initiative reflects the growing shift in Gulf real estate toward sustainable and experience-driven urban development.
