The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) in the United Arab Emirates has issued a public safety advisory asking residents to stay away from debris that may have fallen following aerial interception operations.

In a message shared on social media, the authority warned that objects falling from interception activities could pose safety risks and should only be handled by specialised response teams.

Additionally, residents have been advised not to approach, touch, or photograph any debris they encounter and instead report its location immediately to emergency services.

Public Asked to Report Debris Immediately

Meanwhile, authorities stressed that members of the public must report the location of any debris immediately to emergency services.

Residents were urged to call the emergency hotline 999 if they notice suspicious objects or materials believed to have fallen during aerial defence operations.

Officials also emphasised that quick reporting will allow trained response teams to secure the area quickly and safely remove any hazardous materials.

Potential Safety Risks

In addition, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) warned that objects falling from aerial interception events may appear harmless but can still pose serious risks.

For example, some materials could contain unexploded components, damaged electronics, or other hazardous elements.
