Record Revenue and Expansion Momentum
LuLu Retail Holdings reported record revenues of Dh29.1 billion in 2025, marking a 4.1 percent increase year-on-year.
Net profit reached Dh753 million, slightly ahead of earlier guidance. The company attributed growth to steady store expansion and strong e-commerce performance across the GCC.
LuLu opened 20 new stores in 2025, taking its total footprint to 267 outlets across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
50 New Outlets by 2028
The LuLu Retail store expansion plan targets 50 additional outlets between 2026 and 2028. The rollout will include hypermarkets, express stores, and mini markets across the GCC markets.
The expansion pipeline is expected to generate hundreds of new jobs across the region, reinforcing the company’s regional retail leadership.
CEO Saifee Rupawala said the existing store portfolio and growing digital platform position the retailer for disciplined expansion.
E-Commerce Emerges as Growth Engine
Digital sales continued to accelerate in 2025. E-commerce revenue grew 38.6 percent year-on-year and surged 51.8 percent in the fourth quarter alone.
Online penetration reached 7.3 percent of retail sales in Q4, reflecting rising customer adoption of digital channels.
Sales through LuLu’s proprietary digital platforms grew at nearly double the pace of aggregator channels, indicating improved control over margins and customer data.
Private Label and Financial Strength
Private label products increased their share of total sales to 29.8 percent, supporting revenue growth and margin stability.
The company reduced net debt slightly to Dh9.18 billion and improved leverage metrics on an IFRS 16 basis.
LuLu also announced a second-half dividend of 3.5 fils per share, bringing the total 2025 dividend to 7 fils per share, or approximately Dh724 million.
Regional Retail Consolidation
The LuLu Retail store expansion signals continued consolidation in the GCC retail sector. With physical stores expanding alongside digital growth, the company is reinforcing its hybrid retail model.
Record revenues, improving profitability, and strong cash generation provide the financial backing for its next phase of regional growth.
