On behalf of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in New Delhi to attend the India AI Impact Summit, which runs until February 20.

Upon arrival, India’s Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia received him at the airport. The reception featured a ceremonial red carpet and live cultural performances, followed by greetings from senior Indian government officials.

Strengthening UAE–India AI Cooperation

The UAE’s participation reflects a broader national strategy. Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a standalone technology discussion, the country is positioning AI as a pillar of economic transformation, sector competitiveness, and long-term development.

At the summit, the UAE delegation is focusing on:

  • Advancing international cooperation in AI innovation
  • Building partnerships with leading global technology firms
  • Accelerating digital transformation across vital sectors
  • Strengthening the digital economy framework

Consequently, the visit underscores the expanding strategic partnership between the UAE and India, particularly across emerging technologies, research collaboration, and sovereign digital capabilities.

Senior UAE Delegation

The high-level UAE delegation includes:

  • Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications
  • Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri
  • Faisal Al Bannai, Adviser to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs
  • Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak
  • Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri
  • Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab
  • Saif Ghobash
  • Maryam AlMheiri
  • Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali

The composition of the delegation signals clear cross-sector intent. In effect, the UAE is positioning artificial intelligence at the intersection of governance, healthcare, strategic research, and digital enablement.

Moreover, as global competition intensifies around AI infrastructure, policy frameworks, and innovation leadership, the UAE’s presence at the summit reinforces its ambition to remain a defining voice in shaping how artificial intelligence supports sustainable development and long-term economic stability.
