The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police secured 19 awards at the 7th edition of the Minister of Interior Excellence Award 2026, held at Emirates Palace.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, underscoring the national significance of the event.
Leading Entity Award
Abu Dhabi Police secured the Leading Entity Award after meeting five core criteria: Quality of Life Improvement, Proactive Services, Smart Enablement, Data and Knowledge, and Partnership and Integration.
As a result, the recognition reflects the force’s sustained focus on modern policing systems, continuous service enhancement, and an integrated operational strategy aligned with national priorities.
Institutional Excellence
In the institutional categories, Abu Dhabi Police was named:

. Best Entity in Zero Bureaucracy

. Best Entity in K9 Security Inspection
. Best Policing Practice
The Innovative Idea Award was awarded to the “Dangerous Driver System,” which highlights technology-driven enforcement and prevention measures.

Individual Recognition
At the individual level, the ceremony honored officers and personnel across multiple categories. These included the Specialized Officers Category, the Field Officers Category, the People of Determination Category, and the Innovative Idea awards.
