Authorities in Abu Dhabi confirmed three separate fires near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) following debris from a ballistic missile intercepted by air defense systems.

All fires have been brought under control, with cooling operations currently underway to prevent re-ignition.

Injuries Confirmed, Situation Stabilized

As a result of the incident, six people sustained injuries.

According to officials, five Indian nationals suffered minor to moderate injuries, while authorities later confirmed that a Pakistani national was also injured, bringing the total to six.

In response, emergency services acted swiftly to contain the situation and prevent any further escalation.

Air Defense Systems Activated

Meanwhile, the fires followed a series of early morning alerts issued across the UAE.

In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that air defense systems successfully intercepted ballistic missiles, while fighter jets engaged cruise missiles and drones.

At the same time, residents across multiple areas reported hearing loud sounds, which authorities linked to the interception operations.

Timeline of Alerts and Response

Throughout the early hours, authorities issued multiple safety alerts to keep residents informed.

Initially, officials released the first alert at 3:26 am, followed by additional advisories at 4:05 am and 6:24 am. In each instance, they instructed residents to remain in safe locations and follow official guidance.

Together, these actions reflect a coordinated response to an evolving aerial threat.

Public Safety Advisory

In addition, officials have advised residents not to approach or handle any debris linked to the incident.

Instead, they have directed the public to report any sightings or concerns directly to emergency services, as unexploded fragments may pose serious risks.

At the same time, authorities have emphasized the importance of relying on verified updates and avoiding the spread of unconfirmed information.

Ongoing Monitoring

Meanwhile, national authorities continue to closely monitor the situation.

Although they have contained the immediate threat, they are maintaining surveillance to ensure stability and remain prepared for any further developments.

Controlled Incident, Elevated Vigilance

The incident highlights the effectiveness of the UAE’s air defense systems in neutralizing incoming threats.

At the same time, it underscores the residual risks posed by debris and the importance of rapid emergency response coordination in densely developed zones like KEZAD.
