How an invitation-only community is quietly reshaping how consultants access private markets.

Over the past year, a private consultant investment network called ConsultantsInvest has been steadily gaining ground within the global consulting community. Built exclusively for current and former consultants, the invitation-only network has brought together more than 100 members and facilitated the deployment of over $1 million into private-market opportunities, largely through closed-door referrals.

The growth has been intentional and low-profile. There is no open enrollment, no public deal marketplace, and no promotional push. Instead, ConsultantsInvest has expanded through trust-based referrals and active participation from its members.

Why a Private Consultant Investment Network Was Needed

ConsultantsInvest was founded by Saadallah Sarkis, who previously worked across Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, and Boston Consulting Group.

Sarkis identified a structural gap familiar to many consultants. While consultants often have strong analytical skills, stable income, and an interest in investing, access to private markets remains fragmented. Individual ticket sizes, limited time, and lack of coordinated access often keep consultants out of attractive early-stage or off-market opportunities.

The idea behind ConsultantsInvest was not to create another fund, but to build a private consultant investment network that could solve access and coordination problems without adding operational friction.

How ConsultantsInvest Operates

ConsultantsInvest is not an investment fund, platform, or operating company. Instead, it functions as a coordination layer.

Members access curated opportunities through independently managed third-party special purpose vehicles (SPVs). These SPVs handle execution, regulatory compliance, onboarding, and capital deployment. ConsultantsInvest focuses on curation, alignment, and community standards.

This structure allows the network to remain asset-light while giving members exposure to private-market deals that would typically require institutional access or larger individual cheques.

Tier-1 Consulting DNA

A defining feature of this private consultant investment network is its governance. ConsultantsInvest is supported by an advisory board of senior and partner-level consultants from Tier-1 firms including McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, Kearney, along with Strategy&, BCG, and Oliver Wyman.

The advisory board helps shape standards, evaluate alignment, and guide the long-term direction of the network. Membership itself is invitation-only, with an emphasis on contributors rather than passive observers.

From Access to Capital Deployment

One of the clearest examples of the model in action is Maharat, a premium, celebrity-led edutainment platform in the Arab world.

Through ConsultantsInvest, more than 100 consultants were able to participate in Maharat’s current funding round via third-party SPVs. The network secured a dedicated allocation, allowing members to invest collectively in a private opportunity that would have been difficult to access individually.

This ability to aggregate interest without pooling capital into a single fund is central to how the private consultant investment network operates.

Growth Without Monetisation

As inbound interest has increased, ConsultantsInvest has entered a controlled expansion phase. The stated goal is to scale toward 1,000 members, while preserving quality, engagement, and trust.

Notably, the network is not monetised. There are no membership fees, management fees, or carried interest charged by ConsultantsInvest itself. According to its founders, the focus is on building a long-term peer platform rather than extracting short-term economics.

What Comes Next for the Network

Looking ahead, ConsultantsInvest is expected to broaden the range of opportunities available to members. Areas under consideration include search funds, real estate investments, and alternative assets, segments that typically sit behind institutional barriers.

Access will remain limited. Applications are reviewed privately, with priority given to senior consultants with Tier-1 backgrounds. Early participants are also expected to play a role in shaping how the platform evolves.

A Quiet Shift in Consultant Investing

ConsultantsInvest reflects a broader shift in how consultants think about wealth building. Rather than relying on ad hoc angel deals or public platforms, many are gravitating toward structured, peer-led access built on trust and shared standards.

As one member put it, “Now that a private consultant investment network like this exists, it’s hard to see how it didn’t earlier.”

For a platform designed to stay discreet, ConsultantsInvest has already begun reshaping how consultants enter private markets, one carefully curated deal at a time.
